Lab Link is an app designed to help users organize and easily access their medical test results in a streamlined manner. By uploading a reference number for a medical test, users can conveniently view their results directly on their phones, ensuring they have important health information at their fingertips. Lab Link also serves as a comprehensive platform for keeping track of medical records, health information, and general health upkeep, promoting a proactive approach to personal wellness.
The app includes features such as displaying medical IDs, a medical test glossary to help users understand various tests, and emergency contacts. It aims to simplify the management of health information by eliminating the need for multiple apps or hospital websites.

Design and Research Process
Design and Research Process
01. Research
The process began with extensive research into medical apps, analyzing successful design elements and identifying gaps where Lab Link could improve. This also involved understanding user pain points in navigating medical information and how design could address these issues.
02. brainstorming
Building on research insights, I brainstormed creative solutions for presenting complex test results, like blood tests, in a clear and informative way. Ideas for organizing and prioritizing health information were also explored to highlight key details without overwhelming users.
03. Wireframing
The brainstorming ideas were translated into wireframes—low-fidelity sketches that outlined the app’s layout, structure, and key interactions. These wireframes served as detailed blueprints, mapping the user journey and ensuring all necessary features were thoughtfully included.

Early Iteration: Resultex
The picture here shows an earlier version of Lab Link, originally called Resultex. In its first iteration, Resultex struggled with usability and didn't effectively meet user needs. However, this version served as a crucial learning experience, highlighting what not to do in the design process. These insights paved the way for Lab Link's successful redesign, resulting in a far more user-friendly and effective app.
Developing LabLink has been a valuable journey, transforming early challenges into strengths. Through research, iterative design, and user feedback, we turned initial setbacks into a user-friendly platform that simplifies managing and understanding medical test results. The final designs and mockups showcase the thoughtful evolution of LabLink, reflecting the lessons learned along the way.
